Lastly, remember that we have started in on our bottle drive for the Canadian World Friendship Fund service project! Funds raised through CWFF support Guiding in partner countries in the other parts of the world through mutual aid. Please start collecting returnable cans and bottles in the clear plastic garbage bags we sent home at the January 11 meeting, and plan to bring them back to our meeting on March 1. Bottles need to be dropped off to the bottle depot in clear plastic bags, so if you have extra bottles to return, please plan to pack them in clear plastic for easy return. Thanks in advance!

Nov 9 meeting and Kit List for Camp

This week, we are learning all about layering, waterproofing, and packing a highly-efficient and effective camp pack! We are also going to be pre-making a recipe for camp, to enjoy at Olave.

Here is the kit list for Camp Olave:

Remember, we are taking transit from the ferry to camp, and then have to walk about 20 minutes when we get off the bus so you need to be able to carry all of your own gear. A large backpack is much better for this than a suitcase or duffle bag! Please connect with a leader on Wednesday night if you have any questions about this.
