October 21: Budgeting & Money Sense plus Fall Day Camp!

Tonight’s meeting will be ONLINE via Zoom! We will be thinking about the year ahead and our Unit’s budget: how much money do we have and what will do we plan to spend it on?

We will also be working on program work from the Program Area Build Skills and the Theme Money Sense.

Also, we’re heading to Muskrat Meadows at Deas Island Regional Park on November 11 for a Fall Day Camp! At this fun day outdoors, we’ll be building outdoor skills, doing a cool craft, learning all about fires, and more! The day camp costs $17 to attend, which includes a craft and custom toque, snacks, and all of the activities for the day. Due to restrictions due to COVID-19, girls are asked to bring their own lunches.

May 6th Meeting: Developing our Creative Side!

On May 6th we have another girl-led meeting and this time we will be focusing on developing our creativity. Please have on hand the following supplies: blank paper, lined paper, pencils, pens, coloured pencils/markers (optional). We will be undertaking a variety of activities to get out creative juices flowing!

Here’s a peak at the activities we’ll be trying out:

Nov 13th Special Event: Enrolment Outing

Please note we will not be meeting at the church this week!

We’re heading out for dessert for a lovely enrolment outing!

Drop off is at Off the Grid Waffle Cafe at 5943 Fraser Street at 7:00pm.

Pick up is at 8:30pm from the same location.

Uniforms are mandatory.

Invasive Species Service Project with the Stanley Park Ecology Society

We’ll be heading to Stanley Park on Saturday, May 4th for our Environmental Service Project, where we will be hosted by the Stanley Park Ecology Society. We will go on a nature walk, learn about invasive species management, and participate as environmental stewards in creating valuable habitat for native wildlife!

Cookie Selling and Flyover Canada Halloween Outing

On October 18, we’re selling cookies at Broadway-City Hall Skytrain Station! Note the early start time of 4:30 pm. Uniforms are mandatory for this public event.

On October 25, we’re heading to Canada Place to experiene Flyover Canada with a Halloween Twist! Bring your Compass Card or bus fare as we’re taking transit. Drop off and pick up are from 29th Avenue Skytrain Station.  More information in the Events Calendar. Note the early start time!

Drop off Time:  6:30pm

Pick up Time:  8:30pm

Cost:  $18
