Snow camp is a GO!

The Mount Seymour mountain weather forecast has dramatically improved, so snow camp is a GO!

See everyone in the parking lot for the at Mount Seymour Group Site at 7:00 pm tomorrow.  It’s located at the last big bend in the road before you get to the top of Mount Seymour (the resort / ski area), with a big parking lot on the left-hand side of the road.

Remember to eat dinner before you arrive – we’ll only be having mug up tomorrow night.

Winter Camp Opportunity with West Coast Area TREX Group

On behalf of the WCA Trex group:
The Hollyburn Chalet is a rustic Girl Guide cabin in Cypress Provincial Park. It is about a 30 minute hike on snowshoes to this cabin. This is a great introductory winter backpacking camp experience. We will meet at 7 pm on Friday Dec 16 at the trailhead to divide up group gear and hike into camp. On Saturday, we will go cross-country skiing (if there is snow). On Sunday, we will snowshoe up to Hollyburn Mountain. The pick-up time on Sunday is 2 pm. We do have the option for girls to come for one night, and can pro-rate the fee accordingly.
Please find attached the forms for this camp. The fee is $50 (including GST), plus the cost of cross-country ski trail tickets and rentals (to be brought to camp in cash; it is $34 + tax). Please respond to Belinda Li at 2ndwcatrex@gmail.com by December 7 to sign up for this camp. Forms are attached for your information.
