What are your questions for UBC Women’s Health?

The awesome ladies of UBC’s Women’s Health unit are paying us a visit on April 12th. They’ve asked us to let them know what issues and topics are of interest to our group.

What do you want to learn more about? Healthy relationships and consent? Getting to know our menstrual cycles? How we can take better care of our bodies? Let us know what you’re curious about by submitting your questions using this form – all answers are anonymous, and all questions are welcome!

Please send us your questions via the form by April 5th – thanks!

Planning Meeting

This is an important meeting, as we’ll be spending our time together planning the activities we’ll be doing together for the next few months and into next year. Remember to bring your program books, as well as a few ideas for the following categories:

  1. Community service project
  2. Camping/outdoor activity (be specific, what kind of camping?)
  3. Local outing
  4. Program work

Also:

  • Forms for the October 2nd Bowen Island Outing are now available
  • Mint chocolate cookies are being distributed.  They will be available at the end of the meeting.
  • Dues for the 2016/2017 Pathfinder year are $50, and can be paid in full this month or in two instalments of $25 (one now, one in January). Dues help cover the cost of program supplies, craft materials, pins and badges, and more! Please let a leader know if you have any questions about dues.

Welcome back! First meeting of the new year

This week we’ll be doing a bit of planning for upcoming meetings & outings, and the upcoming Snowflake Ball, with a game or two at the end.

Also, Southridge District is doing a bottle drive to raise funds for future district events – please drop off rinsed, returnable beverage containers at the start of the Pathfinder meeting.

Remember to check our calendar for more information on future meetings, outings and camps!

Holiday Cards for Seniors

This week we will be crafting holiday cards for a local seniors organization–the girls will be making two for giving away and two for keeping themselves. We will also be discussing upcoming events, including our Stanley Park Christmas Train outing.

Please remember to bring your forms and $6.00 for the Christmas Train outing, as well as any remaining cookie money. If you still have cookies left, please let us know how many.

Preparing for Enrollment & Halloween Party

This week we will be revisiting the Girl Guide promise and law, and form a planning committee for our Enrollment Ceremony. We will also be planning next week’s Halloween party and following up on discussions about summer camp.

If you need more cookies, please e-mail Karla so she can bring them to the meeting. We still a number of cases left, and will also be discussing another possible selling event.
