BC Girl Guides Virtual Career Fair 2021

Join the BC Program Committee and BC Youth Forum for two fun days of online career exploration on Saturday November 20 and Sunday November 21! Participants can sign up for as many sessions as they would like!

Please note that participants must sign up for sessions individually, but units are welcome to attend together! Every BC participant who attends a career fair session will receive the special-edition career fair crest.

This event is open to everybody, but please note that only members from BC will receive a career fair crest.

Each session description notes what age range the session will be for (divided into Sparks/Brownies (S/B), Guides/Pathfinders (G/P), and Pathfinders/Rangers (P/R) age groups), the timing of the session, and whether the session will require any supplies from home.

Participants can register for as many sessions as they would like to attend. Please note that we are collecting mailing addresses in order to mail the crests.

An overview of the session schedule can be found here.

You will receive a separate confirmation with each Zoom link on the tickets that are emailed to you. Please make sure to save these links.

Nov 10 Meeting – Cookie Selling at Joyce Skytrain Station

This week, we’re selling cookies at Joyce Skytrain station from 4 – 6 pm. Note the early start time!

Please come on time, and in uniform (a scarf is a good option, if you have one). Dress for the weather, as we’ll be outside the whole time.

Tomorrow is also likely going to be the last opportunity to take any cases of cookies to sell for yourself, so please connect with a Guider on site if you’d like to take cookies home with you.

See you tomorrow!

Nov 3 Meeting – Cookies and a Service Project!

This Wednesday, we’re meeting at the church to prepare for our public cookie sales date next week, and to sink our teeth into the “Adopt a Catch basin” program, a solo service project opportunity with the City of Vancouver! Both of these activities will count towards your Canada Cord program work.

We will also be planning our enrolment ceremony later this month, so bring your creative ideas and goals.

Lastly, if you’d like to attend the Amazing Race event on Sunday November 7, please email Karla by Tuesday night (Nov 2) to confirm!
