Who:  All Spark, Brownie, Guide, Pathfinder, and Ranger Units, in the British Columbia Girl Guides of Canada, West Coast Area

When: Saturday November 5, 2022

What: A fun and adventurous immersive Day Camp Event

Where: Britannia Mines, a National historic site and museum

How: Participants will be picked up by bus from strategic locations throughout the West Coast Area, to travel to and from the mine

PARTICIPANTS WILL HAVE THE OPORTUNITY TO

• Discover “BOOM!” a fascinating live-action movie experience in the historic mill
• Take a guided underground mine tour with an informative guide
• Try their hands at panning for gold, and claim what they find
• Explore the interactive exhibits and the Mineral Gallery
• Partake in a special Howe Sound legacies session in the lab
• Enjoy the fun and friendship of a large Girl Guide event

Cost: The $20 cost for the full day will be subsidized by proceeds from cookies, and includes

• Transportation to and from the site
• Admission to the museum
• All activities at the museum
• Lunch (vegetarian and non-vegetarian available) and snack. Participants with extraordinary dietary restrictions will be welcome to bring their own lunch, no special pricing will be offered in this case
• Custom crest

Supervision ratio for this event is 8:1

Form and payment of $35 is due to a Unit Guider by October 19.
