DESCRIPTION:Camp has been cancelled\, so we’re going snowshoeing instead!  We’ll finish off our Winter Camp Challenge crest\, enjoy a picnic together on the trails\, and practice our snowshoe skills on the 6 km Dog Mountain trail. \nWe’ll meet at the west (far) end of the Mount Seymour parking lot (top of the mountain)\, near the signs for the BC Parks trails.  See the attached SG1 and SG2 for more details. \nThere is no cost to attend. Dress for the weather (non-cotton layers\, snowpants\, waterproof jacket\, waterproof shoes or boots\, toque and gloves) and bring a daypack with 2L water\, an empty travel mug for a warm beverage\, and your personal first aid kit. DESCRIPTION:We’re heading to a different cabin at Hollyburn for a fun and adventurous winter camp experience! Find forms for this event here: http://9thvancouverpathfinders.ca/forms/ \nWe are meeting Friday\, Dec. 4th at 6:00pm\, at the far east end of the Hollyburn cross-country skiing parking lot\, pick up is at 11:30am on Sunday. Dec. 6th. \nDirections: \nTake the the Cypress Bowl Skiing exit from the Upper Levels Highway (Highway 1) in West Vancouver. Continue up the Cypress Park road and follow the signs to the Hollyburn cross-country ski area. Proceed to the far east end of the cross-country skiing parking lot where you will see a sign saying “Hiking trail to Hollyburn Lodge”. The hike to the cabin from the meeting spot is just over 1 kilometre and takes 30 to 45 minutes.
