SUMMARY:Mount Seymour Snowshoe
DESCRIPTION:Camp has been cancelled\, so we’re going snowshoeing instead!  We’ll finish off our Winter Camp Challenge crest\, enjoy a picnic together on the trails\, and practice our snowshoe skills on the 6 km Dog Mountain trail. \nWe’ll meet at the west (far) end of the Mount Seymour parking lot (top of the mountain)\, near the signs for the BC Parks trails.  See the attached SG1 and SG2 for more details. \nThere is no cost to attend. Dress for the weather (non-cotton layers\, snowpants\, waterproof jacket\, waterproof shoes or boots\, toque and gloves) and bring a daypack with 2L water\, an empty travel mug for a warm beverage\, and your personal first aid kit. DESCRIPTION:This training session is mandatory for anyone planning on attending the West Coast Area Snow Camp from January 9th – 11th at Mount Seymour Provincial Park. \nThis training session is for 3rd year Guides\, Pathfinders\, Rangers and Trex to introduce them to Snow Camping and give them the basic skills and knowledge to go snow camping.
