DESCRIPTION:We are heading to beloved Camp Olave on the Sunshine Coast for a weekend of fun and adventure on the seashore! \nWe are staying at the Ah Ah Wah Kie site right on the water\, and will be doing a tonne of outdoor adventures including hiking\, practicing outdoor cooking\, doing archery\, and exploring the beach and tide pools at Camp Olave. We will also be cooking together\, doing crafts\, and playing games. \nWe will be sleeping in bunk houses. \nWe will be taking the ferry from Horseshoe Bay to Langdale\, and then a public bus from Langdale to Camp Olave. This amazing adventure will start with a transit journey from East Van to North Van\, followed by a meeting with local MLA Bowinn Ma to learn about being a woman in politics. After that\, we will explore the Shipyards\, possibly go skating or to the Polygon Art Gallery. We will make dinner at Guide House and spend the night playing games and making crafts. SUMMARY:Spring Camp at Fort Camping\, Brae Island Regional Park
DESCRIPTION:Girls and guiders will spend the weekend exploring nearby trails\, practicing camp skills (i.e. setting up tents\, cooking on camp stoves\, campfire building\, etc.)\, cooking meals in patrols\, and other activities (crafts\, games).  We will visit the nearby Fort Langley HIstoric Site and get ice cream in town. SUMMARY:Pathfinder Summit
DESCRIPTION:Pathfinder Summit is a biennial event (every second year\, alternating with Ranger Revolution) for girls in their 2nd or 3rd year of Pathfinders. It is an opportunity for registered Pathfinders and Pathfinder Guiders from around BC to come together as patrols and explore the Pathfinder Program\, with a focus on leadership. Participants explore subjects they might not encounter at unit meetings and are encouraged to take information back with them to share with their units. Dec. 6th. \nDirections: \nTake the the Cypress Bowl Skiing exit from the Upper Levels Highway (Highway 1) in West Vancouver. Continue up the Cypress Park road and follow the signs to the Hollyburn cross-country ski area. Proceed to the far east end of the cross-country skiing parking lot where you will see a sign saying “Hiking trail to Hollyburn Lodge”. The hike to the cabin from the meeting spot is just over 1 kilometre and takes 30 to 45 minutes.

SUMMARY:Fall Adventure Sleepover at Hollyburn Chalet
DESCRIPTION:  \nWe’re starting the year off right at Hollyburn Chalet! \nFor those that have not been there before\, Hollyburn Chalet is a cabin owned by the West Coast Area Girl Guides. It was built in the 1930s and is located on Cypress Mountain. We will hike in to the chalet mid-day\, and enjoy the afternoon and evening doing some exciting outdoor activities\, cooking marvelous camp food\, and enjoying the outdoors together. We will eat dinner and breakfast together.  Please eat lunch on Saturday before you arrive at Hollyburn. \nGirls will be responsible for carry in their own gear and some of the unit food.  We will discuss this in more detail at our first meeting. \nPlease bring your signed permission form and payment to the first meeting on September 16th.  More information is on the Forms page of this website.
